Following are a number of questions we are regularly asked:

Does it cost to join the Stockton Tree Foundation?

    No, there are no membership to become a Member of the Stockton Tree Foundation .  All we ask is that you volunteer a little time to help preserve the urban forest

How do I get involved with the Stockton Tree Foundation?

    Simply fill out the on line form under the "Join" tab, or send us an e-mail through "Contact Us"

Do you have a list of certified Arborists that can prune my tree and/or remove mistletoe?

    We are presently working on a list of Arborists and Tree Surgeons that perform reputable work and are willing to work with the Stockton Tree Foundation to preserve and enhance our urban forest.

Where can I purchase good quality trees?

    At the present time we are working with several wholesale growers to establish a working relationship that will allow Stockton Tree Foundation Members to receive a discount on trees.  More information will be published on this matter as soon as  it becomes available.

What should I do if a limb on my City Tree  breaks?

    Call the City street tree division at 209 ???-????

If the City has removed a tree from my property, how long will it take to have the stump removed and a new tree planted?

    The City hires a private contractor to remove the stumps.  When there are 30-50 stumps to re removed, the work will be scheduled.  If you think the City has forgotten your stump,    Call the City street tree division at 209 ???-????

Where do I find out what trees are good to plant in my front yard?

    The City of Stockton has a master street tree list of trees that are approved for planting within the street right of way.  See the links tab or click here COS Street Tree List.  Scroll through the list and click on the botanic name of a tree, you will be directed to a link that show pictures of the tree and gives a description.

Where do I find out what trees are good to plant under power lines?

     PG&E has a web page dedicated to the issues with planting trees under power lines.  See their page for more information Right Tree Right Place

What are the laws about tree branches that overhang my property from another?
